What are the reasons to NOT work with me?
This is a peculiar thing to say, as it sounds like I’m turning away business. In fact I am. I often turn away business, but I’ll get to that bit in a moment.
I’m not cheap
If you’re looking for a cheap web developer, then I am most definitely NOT the guy for you. I’m reassuringly expensive (stealing a quote from a well-known beverage).
Actually, in fairness, cheap web developers are a false economy, as you often have to pay more to get things working if they break. (the words of a couple of my clients, not mine!).
My philosophy is very different. I offer a fixed price quote to do the work. If it takes me a little longer to do the work due to unforeseen problems, you don’t get charged any extra. I also offer a warranty with my work (if something breaks within 6 months, I fix it, free of charge).
You ‘require’ me to be at the end of the phone constantly
To get things done and ensure that I can deliver projects for clients, I schedule everything in my diary. I have some capacity for emergencies, but for the most part, I schedule time to do work for clients and to make things happen. Constant phone calls are very interrupting for productivity, and it slows me down considerably.
The good news is, I offer scheduled slots in my diary where you can have my undivided attention to discuss a project (or an element of a project if we’re working on something already). This is the best use of time for us both, and ensures that we’re both prepared for the telephone call.
If you’re someone who wants to spontaneously pick up the phone to me every few hours, then I’m afraid that’s a working style that’s not suited to me. I’ll encourage you to find someone else who’s happy with that arrangement.
Ok, so where do we go from here…?
As you can tell, I’ve crafted a working pattern that allows me to give my clients lots of help and support with their WordPress website and setting up their marketing automation. Sure, it sounds like I’m very structured in my approach, but that’s simply so that I can really look after you and deliver a great project.

There’s plenty of jargon in that list, but you might spot some technologies in their that you want to use. You can also find out some other Frequently Asked Questions (and their answers) here.
